Durante a disciplina serão abordados temas contemporâneos sobre: Princípios gerais de patogenicidade bacteriana; Mecanismos de patogenicidade de bactérias específicas; Regulação gênica da virulência; Mecanismos de evasão bacteriana da resposta imune do hospedeiro; O microbioma humano na saúde e na doença; Terapia antivirulência.
